WE WALK BECAUSE WE WANT TO CHANGE THE WORLD, ONE FAUCET AT A TIME. Imagine waking up in the morning, grabbing a bucket, and fetching the day’s drinking water from a river fifteen minutes away. The water is brown and clearly contaminated, but you have no other option if you want something to drink. This is the daily reality for over 40,000 people in Waslala, Nicaragua. Water for Waslala is changing this reality, one faucet at a time. We help Waslalan community members build and maintain water systems that provide the clean drinking water they deserve. Today, over 2,000 Waslalans drink clean water as a result of our efforts, but we can do much, much more. Join us for our eighth annual 5k Walk for Water on April 22 at 12pm at Villanova University. Help
us raise $30,000 to bring 300-400 more
Waslalans clean water for a lifetime. After registering, use this site to recruit team members and raise funds for your teams. Every $100 raised will supply one Waslalan with piped clean water in his/her home for a lifetime, and prizes will be awarded to the top fundraisers and recruiters!
